On
Friday night, October 3, we will have "Family and Friends Night"
where Chapel members, cooking teams, and corporate guests will enjoy
live entertainment and fellowship. Bring your lawn chairs. The fee of $5.00 per person (children under 12 free) will cover
admission, live entertainment, a BBQ sandwich, chips, and a soft
drink. BYOB. Hope to see you there!
A
Day in the Country is a festival held on the first Saturday in October
each year. This year's event - the 29th Annual - will take place
from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on October 4.
The
purpose of A Day in the Country is to promote spiritual and physical
growth in our community and church. It is a cooperative effort by
the communicants of the Chapel of the Cross and other interested
people to acquaint the general public with the spirit of our church
by means of a day of wholesome activities for all ages.
The
festival features more than 100 artists and craftsmen, homemade
baked goods, jams, jellies and sauces, Kids Kountry, daylong music,
hayrides, Chapel tours, a variety of food for every taste, and,
of course, the traditional 63-Egg Cake. |
