A
Day in the Country is a festival held on the first Saturday in October
each year. This year's event - the 28th Annual - will take place
from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on October 6.
The
purpose of A Day in the Country is to promote spiritual and physical
growth in our community and church. It is a cooperative effort by
the communicants of the Chapel of the Cross and other interested
people to acquaint the general public with the spirit of our church
by means of a day of wholesome activities for all ages.
The
festival features more than 100 artists and craftsmen, homemade
baked goods, jams, jellies and sauces, Kids Kountry, daylong music,
hayrides, Chapel tours, a variety of food for every taste, and,
of course, the traditional 63-Egg Cake.
