Pastoral Care Ministry

The mission of the Pastoral Care Ministry is to foster a climate within the Chapel of the Cross Community of Faith that upholds the Biblical mandate of caring for one another by supporting, developing and implementing appropriate ministries.

The Pastoral Care Committee, made up of trained and untrained volunteers, has been serving the broad and diverse needs of our parish family - those in crisis, in the hospital, or feeling alone or isolated … those in need of a hot meal, prayers or a friendly visitor, a telephone call, an email, someone to run a few errands, a Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM) to deliver communion or one of our priests - all have been served by our Pastoral Care volunteer ministry.

The Pastoral Care Ministry needs everyone's help. If you are interested, please contact the church office. We have a great manual that provides everything you need to know.

If you know of a parishioner who might be in need, please call Judy Barnes in the Chapel office at 856.2593.

If you notice that someone you usually see hasn't been around, please check on him or her. You are our eyes and ears in the church. It's amazing what we think everyone else knows... when everybody really doesn't! We can't serve our faith community's needs if we don't know about them!
