Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat works in partnership with families in need to build simple, decent homes that are sold at no profit through no-interest loans. Funds, building materials, and labor are donated by individuals, churches, corporations, and other organizations which share our goal of eliminating substandard housing.

Parishioners regularly participate in Habitat building projects. Workers must be 16 years of age. Providing snacks and lunch for the workers is another ministry opportunity.

"Blitz Build" Let's join with our friends from St. Andrew's, St. Columb's, St. James' and St. Philip's to build a house in a hurry! Pre-build event/foundation work, etc. Saturday, September 19. Blitz Build - October 5-9. If you'd like to know more about this project and how to get involved, please contact Chapel member, Bill Buhner at 601.605.9082, 601.940.7499. He's had lots of experience with Habitat projects and his enthusiasm is contagious!!! There's a job for every skill level. Don't worry, they can put you to work.
