Honduras Mission

The Chapel participates in annual mission trips to work with Salt and Light Ministries building houses in the Lake Yojoa area of Honduras. We are happy to report that our 2008 trip was a great success! We worked on a three-bedroom house in the community of Los Naranjos, completing it up to the roofing stage. We had a lot of help from the neighbors, young and old, and we now have even more dear friends in Honduras.

Plans are already underway for next year’s trip. The dates are June 29 through July 6, 2009. The cost will be $1,500 per person, which will cover the cost of the airline tickets, hotel rooms and meals during the one-week stay. The funds will need to be sent to the Chapel office by December 10, 2008, so that we can make the appropriate reservations.

If you have never been to Honduras on a Chapel mission trip, it can truly be a life-changing experience.
